Produced by Interactive Ontario and supported by Ontario Media Development Corporation and Eye on Canada, GameON: Ventures is a 2-day conference that connects business leaders in the video game industry through keynotes, panels, presentations and an expo. It takes place this Thursday and Friday (October 20-21, 2016) at MaRS Discovery District in Toronto.
Here are the top three reasons why you should register to attend:
- Pitch Competition: Interactive media companies from Canada and around the world will have the opportunity to pitch privately to an initial jury of investors and publishers on Day 1. Four finalists out of 20 companies will be chosen to pitch in front of all conference attendees and a second jury on Day 2.
- IDM Expo & Networking Opportunities: There will be a venue full of Canadian and international game company executives and team leads, videogame publishers, marketers, distributors, investors, government representatives and more. GameON: Ventures provides an excellent opportunity to help make connections that lead to collaboration and deal-making.
- Learn from Keynote John Romero, Co-Founder of Romero Games: He is considered the godfather of first-person shooter, having created more than 130 games including iconic titles such as Doom, Quake and Wolftenstein 3D. Join the keynote to gain insights from Romero and his 35+ years of experience in the gaming industry.
