New Type Of User Taking Zipcar Beyond Toronto’s Core

Thanks to startups and good old public transportation, urbanites have a variety of options when it comes to getting around the city. When it comes to making a major purchase or dropping the kids off at soccer, however, you probably need a car.

That’s where Zipcar fits in among the bevy of transportation services, Zipcar Ontario General Manager Nicola McLeod told us following a July 15 Soho House event curated by Dx3.

While keeping those in Toronto’s core happy, McLeod says Zipcar Ontario is seeing a new kind of user in suburban areas like Pickering, North York and Mississauga.

McLeod also offered some insight into how Zipcar works with auto brands like Ford, Kia and Hyundai to deliver data about the popularity of models and help potential car buyers become familiar with their brands.
